Contemporary Hummingbird Paintings
Hummingbirds are endlessly fascinating to me. No one can deny their dazzling beauty but they also come with a whole lot of sass! Once I started painting them and learning more about them, I just couldn’t stop!
I most often paint the Anna’s Hummingbird which lives in the Pacific Northwest year around. I enjoy working with professional grade acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas, using layering techniques and spontaneous brushstrokes to convey the beautiful appearance and flight acrobatics of these amazing birds, in contemporary style.
Hummingbirds radiate joy and positive energy which I strive to communicate through my colorful paintings so that people may experience more of these feelings in their home and office environments. While our world can be so challenging and complicated, my art celebrates the simple joys.
